Africa Day 2025: a historic evening with the Ambassadors of Ethiopia and Tunisia

Ambassador Mr. Mehretaeb Mulugeta traveled all the way from Stockholm to be the main speaker at Africa Day 2025. His support made the event very special and historic during Africa Week in Finland. This was also the first time the Ethiopian Ambassador joined us, which was very meaningful because the African Union was founded in Ethiopia. In his speech, he reminded us of how the African Union began and why it is so important. His presence was a great honor and a source of inspiration.

We were also honored to welcome H.E. Mrs. Nabiha Hajjaji Ep Haj Ali, the Ambassador of Tunisia in Helsinki, who delivered a powerful and inspiring goodwill message that touched everyone and made the event even more memorable.

Representatives from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Helsinki, the Namibian Embassy, and the Nigerian Embassy in Stockholm, joined us. Their presence and support showed a strong commitment to Africa and added great value to the event.
